Monique's story

Growing up Monique lived the best of both coastal and country life. Her family background stems from cattle farming in the Queensland outback (which is where she spent most weekends and school holidays) . Monique lived with her mother in Noosa close to the ocean, fine dining restaurants and bougie cafes from Monday - Friday then would transition to the farm life come Friday afternoon.

Monique packed up her life in Noosa and moved to Brisbane at age 17 to follow her passion where she completed a Bachelor of Creative Industries before auditioning for the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney. After being accepted in 2017,  Monique loaded her entire life into her tiny turquoise Suzuki Swift and fled to Sydney to follow her lifelong dream of becoming Australia’s next Margot Robbie.

Monique has a passion for boxing and all things exercise and sport. She grew up spending her weekends in the mud riding motorbikes and horses on the farm, and still today calls herself a tomboy at heart.

In September 2022 Monique was crowned Miss Universe Australia. Monique then went on to compete internationally in January in New Orleans where she placed top 16 of the world making Australia very proud.
